senior bank clerk in Nigeria who wants me to split seven million dollars
with me for pretending to be a long lost relative of a customer who died
intestate.

I no longer worry about my soul because I have 363,214 angels looking out
for me.

I have learned that my prayers only get answered if I forward emails to
seven friends and make a wish within five minutes.

I no longer drink Coca-Cola because it can remove toilet stains.

I no longer can buy petrol without taking a friend along to watch the car
so a serial killer won't crawl in my back seat when I'm filling up.

I no longer go to shopping centres because someone will drug me with a
perfume sample and rob me.

I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a number
and then I'll get a phone bill with calls to Jamaica, Uganda, Singapore and
Uzbekistan.

I can't use anyone's toilet but mine because a big brown African spider is
lurking under the seat to cause me instant death when it bites my bum.

I can't even pick up the £5.00 I found dropped in the car park because it
probably was placed there by a sex molester waiting underneath my car to
grab my leg.

If you don't send this email to at least 144,000 people in the next 70
minutes, a large dove with diarrhoea will pooh on your head at 4:00pm
tomorrow afternoon and fleas from 12 camels will infest your back, causing
you to grow a hairy hump.

I know this because it actually happened to a friend of my next door
neighbour's ex-mother-in-law's second husband's cousin's beautician.

By the way....a South American scientist after a lengthy study has
discovered that people with low IQ who don't have enough sex, always read
their emails while holding the mouse.

Don't bother taking it off now, it's too late.

A Christmas Story for people having a bad day:

When four of Santa's elves got sick, the trainee elves did not produce
toys as fast as the regular ones, and Santa began to feel the
Pre-Christmas pressure.

Then Mrs Claus told Santa her Mother was coming to visit, which
stressed Santa even more.

When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were
about to give birth and two others had jumped the fence and were out,
Heaven knows where.

Then when he began to load the sleigh, one of the floorboards cracked,
the toy bag fell to the ground and all the toys were scattered.

Frustrated, Santa went in the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot
of rum.. When he went to the cupboard, he discovered the elves had
drank all the cider and hidden the liquor. In his frustration, he
accidentally dropped the cider jug, and it broke into hundreds of
little glass pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the
broom and found the mice had eaten all the straw off the end of the
broom.


Just then the doorbell rang, and irritated Santa marched to the door,
yanked it open, and there stood a little angel with a great big
Christmas tree.
The angel said very cheerfully, 'Merry Christmas, Santa. Isn't this a
lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to
stick it?'

And so began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas
tree.

* A choking sensation

* Chest pain or discomfort

* Nausea or stomach cramps

* Derealization (a feeling of unreality)

* Fear of losing control or going crazy

* Fear of dying Numbness or a tingling sensation

* Chills or hot flashes

...then you've experienced firsthand some of the possible symptoms of a panic or anxiety attack. If you

are reading this page because a loved one suffers from these symptoms and you are trying to understand or

help, it's hard to appreciate what they go through.

Just try to imagine what it feels like to experience one, if you can.

Here is a typical example:

Standing in a supermarket queue, it’s been a long wait but only one customer to go before you make it to

the cashier. Wait, what was that sensation? An unpleasant feeling forms in your throat, your chest feels

tighter, now a sudden shortness of breath, and what do you know—your heart skips a beat. “Please, God,

not here.”

A quick scan of the territory—is it threatening? Four unfriendly faces queue behind, one person in front.

Pins and needles seem to prick you through your left arm, you feel slightly dizzy, and then the explosion

of fear as you dread the worst. You are about to have a panic attack.

There is no doubt in your mind now that this is going to be a big one. Okay, focus: Remember what you

have been taught, and it is time now to apply the coping techniques. Begin the deep breathing exercise

your doctor recommended. In through the nose, out through the mouth.

Think relaxing thoughts, and again, while breathing in, think “Relax,” and then breathe out. But it

doesn’t seem to be having any positive effect; in fact, just concentrating on breathing is making you

feel self-conscious and more uptight.

Okay, coping technique 2:

Gradual muscle relaxation. Tense both shoulders, hold for 10 seconds, then release. Try it again. No;

still no difference. The anxiety is getting worse and the very fact that you are out of coping techniques

worsens your panic. If only you were surrounded by your family, or a close friend were beside you so you

could feel more confident in dealing with this situation.

Now, the adrenaline is really pumping through your system, your body is tingling with uncomfortable

sensations, and now the dreaded feeling of losing complete control engulfs your emotions. No one around

you has any idea of the sheer terror you are experiencing. For them, it’s just a regular day and another

frustratingly slow queue in the supermarket.

You are out of options. Time for Plan C.

The most basic coping skill of all is “fleeing.” Excuse yourself from the queue; you are slightly

embarrassed as it is now that it is your turn to pay. The cashier is looking bewildered as you leave your

shopping behind and stroll towards the door. There is no time for excuses—you need to be alone. You leave

the supermarket and get into your car to ride it out alone. Could this be the big one? The one you fear

will push you over the edge mentally and physically. Ten minutes later the panic subsides.

It’s 10:30 a.m. How are you going to make it through the rest of the day?

If you suffer from panic or anxiety attacks, the above scenerio probably sounds very familiar. It may

have even induced feelings of anxiety and panic just reading it. The particular situations that trigger

your panic and anxiety may differ; maybe the bodily sensations are a little different. Or maybe it

happened to you for the first time on a plane, in the dentist chair, or even at home, while doing nothing

in particular.

If you have ever had what has become known as a “panic attack,” take comfort in the fact that you are by

no means alone.

A panic attack always comes with the acute sense of impending doom. You feel you are either about to lose

your mind or one of your vital bodily functions is about to cease functioning and you will end your days

right there among the canned goods and frozen food.

You are by no means alone; you’re not even one in a million. In America, it is estimated that almost 5%

of the population suffer from some form of anxiety disorder. For some, it may be the infrequent panic

attacks that only crop up in particular situations-like when having to speak in front of others, while,

for other people, it can be so frequent and recurring that it inhibits them from leaving their home.

Frequent panic attacks often develop into what medical physicians refer to as an “anxiety disorder.”

One of the first steps to regaining control of your life is getting helpful information. This site will

it but you have always decided to panic. You make the choice by saying this is beyond my control.

Another way to appreciate this is to imagine having a panic attack as like standing on a cliff's edge.

The anxiety seemingly pushes you closer to falling over the edge.

To be rid of the fear you must metaphorically jump. You must jump off the cliff edge and into the anxiety

and fear and all the things that you fear most.

How do you jump? You jump by wanting to have a panic attack. You go about your day asking for anxiety and

panic attacks to appear.

Your real safety is the fact that a panic attack will never harm you. That is medical fact. You are safe,

the sensations are wild but no harm will come to you. Your heart is racing but no harm will come to you.

The jump becomes nothing more than a two foot drop! Perfectly safe.

So the doctor, after examining her thoroughly gives her some pills

and tells her to take one everyday and come back in a week.

So the old lady comes back, and when the doctor asks if her problem

is any better she replies, 'Well I don't know what you gave me but

now my gas smells terribly!'

The doctor replies 'Well now that we've got your sinuses cleared up

let's work on your hearing!'

Who's Visiting Your Website and What are They Doing There?

(How to Get the Information You Need to Build a Stronger Internet Marketing Campaign)

Have you ever wondered who is visiting your Website and What they're doing there?

Although it's never a good idea to speak in generalities when it comes to people (after all, we're all as

unique individuals), there are a few basic personality types – and certain common behaviors or

characteristics that you can use to your advantage when it comes to creating your next Internet Marketing

Campaign.

Let's start with the personality types. Based on the "Social Styles" type of personality classification,

you'll find:

Analytical. People in this classification are logical, detail and task-oriented. They want facts.

Expressive. People in this classification are supportive of others, expressive and outgoing. They tend

to go with their guts.

Amiable. People in this classification are loyal, dependable, consistent and hardworking. They like to

dig until they ferret out all the available information.

Achiever. People in this classification are go-getters, driven, forceful and practical. They make

decisions quickly and don't want to waste time.

So how do you design your marketing campaign to meet the needs of all these different personality types –

especially when you're just starting out and money is tight?

The best way is to come up with a plan ahead of time, and provide information in the ways that it will be

best received by the different personality types.

Still confused? Here are some things to keep in mind that will help:

Remember your marketing campaign goals. What do you want your visitors, prospects or customers to do?

(Give you their contact information? Make a purchase?) Make sure that whatever tactics you're using will

help you achieve your goals. And from there, use tactics that will do one of these three things:

Attract visitors to your site. Attraction methods can be anything from articles to videos to blogs to

Podcasts. It can be using social media sites to your advantage or creating a following among readers of

your Blog.

Convert visitors on your site. This means get your visitors to take whatever action you want them to

take. It could mean signing up for your newsletter (giving you their contact information), buying a

product or attending a Teleseminar.

Retain their loyalty. Once you've converted them, you want to keep them happy and coming back for more.

You retain customers by offering an ongoing newsletter, providing some type of customer loyalty program

or even keeping them involved and engaged through social networking sites.



The more you know about who's visiting your site and what they're doing there, the easier this becomes.

There are plenty of ways you can "spy" on your visitors. For example, if you have a Google account (and

if you don't you should – they're free and they offer lots of goodies), you can sign up for Google

Analytics. It's free, and it will give you lots of very valuable intel about visitors to your Website –

such as how people are finding your Website (search engines, direct search and referred from other

sites.) It will tell you what keywords visitors used to find you, what pages they visited, how long they

stayed – even what page they were on when they left. By knowing this information you can increase your

ROI (Return On Investment) for any Internet Marketing Campaign.

Marketing Plan
A sound marketing plan is key to the success of your business. It should include your market research, your location, the customer group you have targeted, your competition, positioning, the product or service you are selling, pricing, advertising, and promotion.

Effective marketing, planning and promotion begins with current information about the marketplace. Visit your local library, talk to customers, study the advertising of other businesses in your community, and consult with any relevant industry associations. Once you have all the necessary information, write down your plan:

Qualities your customers value most about your product or service - selection, convenience, service, reliability, availability, affordability
Qualities your customers like least about your product or service - can they be adjusted to serve your customers better?
Prospective customers whom you aren't currently reaching

3:Define your plan and budget

Previous marketing methods you have used to communicate to your customers
Methods that have been most effective
Cost compared to sales
Cost per customer
Possible future marketing methods to attract new customers
Percentage of profits you can allocate to your marketing campaign
Marketing tools you can implement within your budget - newspaper, magazine or Yellow Pages advertising; radio or television advertising; direct mail; tele-marketing; public relations activities such as community involvement, sponsorship or press releases
Methods of testing your marketing ideas
Methods for measuring results of your marketing campaign
The marketing tool you can implement immediately

The final component in your marketing plan should be your overall promotional objectives: to communicate your message, create an awareness of your product or service, motivate customers to buy and increase sales, or other specific targets. Objectives make it easier to design an effective campaign and help you keep that campaign on the right track. Once you have defined your objectives, it is easier to choose the method that will be most effective.

Once you've written your E-Book, got your Website up and integrated your shopping cart, you can sit back and start waiting for the money to come rolling in, right?

WRONG!

These days it's getting harder than ever before to be able to get people to notice you – and just because "you build it" doesn't mean they're going to come.

So what's an author to do?

Actually, thanks to all the tools that are available to you – including Web 2.0 – marketing your book – and ramping up your sales – is not as hard as you might think.

In fact, here are a few ideas to get your juices flowing. Add them to your sales plan, and use them as a jumping off place to help you make even more sales.

Create a long-term plan before you write even one word of your first book. The truth of the matter is that you're probably never going to get rich from writing one E-book. So before you start writing your first book, start thinking about your second book. And the first product that will tie into your first book. And the second. And then the third.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Come up with as many different income streams as you can and plan to build them into your plan. For example, can you create a workbook from your E-book? What about recording some audio files that go into further details or give more information. What about doing a joint venture with other experts in your industry?

Sell more books at one time. If your book covers any one of a number of popular subjects – self-help or development, home improvement, business, religion – there are probably corporations, organizations or niche markets that are always on the look-out for inexpensive gifts or bonuses for their employees, clients or associates. Your book could be just the ticket. Although you might have to go down in price – what do you think sounds better? Selling one or two books at a time or selling box loads of them?

Once you've built up your credibility as a published author, it's time to take things to the next level. Have you ever dreamed of attending seminars or workshops as a presenter? What about having a speaking career and being flown all over the world speaking to people in your niche market? If you don't like traveling or crowds, consider putting together teleseminars or holding intimate bootcamps.

Create joint ventures. This is the fastest and easiest way to leverage your expertise and start raking in the cash. Find people who are in similar – but not competing industries as yours. Explore ways for you to provide value to both of your customers while you're cross-selling or upselling. For example, if you own a restaurant, what about creating a special Valentine's Day promotion with the local florist. Offer free drinks or desserts to any of the florist's customers who bring in a special card (that you've provided to them) when they come to your restaurant. And your joint venture partner (the florist) gives you roses or carnations that can be given out to any women when their companion gives you the special dessert card. See how simple that is? Real value that makes your customers happy, and builds loyalty and trust – and positions both of you as the first people your customers think of when they need flowers or want a romantic restaurant or a place to eat during a special occasion

The first bankruptcy laws in the United States were made because of negative economic conditions.

They began in 1800 and were repealed in 1803.
The modern bankruptcy laws first came into view in 1898, when the Bankruptcy Act gave companies that were in distress a way of paying back their creditors and being protected from losing everything at once.

From World War II through the 1970s, the idea of bankruptcy did not make major headlines.
There weren’t very many businesses that failed.
Even through the 1970s, there were really only two major companies that ended up filing for bankruptcy.

In 1978, there was an act passed called the Bankruptcy Reform Act.
It took effect October 1st, 1979.
This completely revamped the practices regarding bankruptcy.

Chapter 11 was created, which is meant to reorganize businesses and get everyone back to working order after bankruptcy.

Also, during the 1980s, there were many changes that were made to the different bankruptcy chapters and acts.

These covered tax related issues, and rules to protect companies from losing everything as a result of bankruptcy depending on their states at the time of filing and their abilities to pay back the debts on their own.

During the 1980s and early in the 1990s, there were a record number of bankruptcies of all different types.

This could be attributed to the fact that the process was made much more simple, and that the benefits were starting to really look good to the people who were filing.

The changes in the filing systems, and the large numbers of bankruptcies led to changes that had to be made in the court systems so that everything could be handled.

This made the process much easier overall, and allowed for more people to be able to be protected through filing for bankruptcy.

Now, bankruptcies are even easier to file because there are pre arranged and prepackaged bankruptcies, and forms that are created with everyone in mind.

This way, the courts can handle all of the bankruptcy proceedings, and everything is able to move much more smoothly.

Even though bankruptcy is now easier than ever to file, you should always keep in mind that this is something that is going to have a major impact on your credit.

You should not file for bankruptcy unless you feel that it is your last chance and unless you feel that you have no other option.

Otherwise you might find that it is something that is harder on your credit than you could have ever imagined.

During my presentation at my recent Underground OnlineMarketing Seminar (www.UndergroundOnlineSeminar.com/?52187) -
I talked about my own "Underground" secrets. One of the things I covered was how to sell super high-end products.

Personally, I've sold everything from $17 ebooks to$14,500.00 "Apprentice Programs" and lots in-between. Mymost recent high-end product is a $7,995/month program forcosmetic surgeons.
I really love high priced products and you'll see why in amoment...

First off, if you want to make $1M this year - then you'd have to sell 20000 copies of my 'doohickey' at $50. Or it could be 2000 copies at $500. Or better still 200 copies at$5000.
It's a lot easier dealing with 200 customers than 20,000.

Think of all the customer service and infrastructure, etc.Plus, as a general rule - the buyers of a high-pricedproduct or service are better buyers are easier to dealwith than someone who bought a $9.95 ebook and drives youcrazy.

The other thing is these customers pay more attention andrevere the information or product/service more. I'veattended $500 seminars and I've attended $10,000.00seminars. Which one do you think I was paying moreattention to? So having higher priced products is actuallybetter for your customers because they are more committed.Think about the last time you gave free advice to someone -what happen?

That's right. Nothing. But if you had madethem pay you for consulting - they would have taken it toheart.

But there's still more on the economics side...

With a higher priced product that means you have more moneyto advertise. If I'm going against someone selling a $19ebook and I'm selling a $199 home study course in the samemarket - who can spend more?
No contest, right?

My competitor can only go up to $19 (unless they've got aback-end product) but I can actually spend up to $199. Butwhat else does that let me do? I can come into amarketplace and suck up a big part of the resellers becauseI can give more commissions. Hey, that's the name of thegame for many affiliates. I can give them $100 to promotemy product instead of the measly $10 my competitor mightgive them.

And of course speaking of economics there's more money init for you. If you've got a high priced product thereshould be a very high margin built in. If not, raise theprice. I'm serious most people are undercharging for whatthey provide. My rule of thumb and one of my values I lookat it every morning in my planners says "I am rich byenriching others 10x - 100x what they pay me in return".

That's a big deal for me. If you pay me $1000 for a product- I want to make sure it delivers $10,000 in value for mycustomers. I suggest you consider something similar. Ifyour product isn't good enough for you to raise your priceon it - make it better!

Here are just some of the high-end products you could sellin the information marketing world (I've successfully soldall of these and taught many of my students how to do thesame):

* Live events like workshops and seminars

* "Big" boxes of manuals, CDs, DVDs, CDroms, etc

* High end facilitated group masterminds

* eClasses

* "Done it for them" services

* Coaching

* Reprint rights and licenses and many more...

And don't think high-priced products can only sell if youare selling 'how to make money' related products. I havestudents and friends doing very well selling high pricedproducts to the fitness marketplace, the dating markets,small niche obsessive-compulsive markets, self-help, careermarketplaces and many more.
Now a lot of people think selling high priced products area lot tougher than low-priced products. Not true. Youusually spend about the same effort trying to sell a high-priced product as a lower priced product.

Now when selling a high-priced product most people make themistake of just trying to "1-step" it. That means sendingpeople off to a webpage or sending them a sales letter andthen nothing more. Only a small percentage will buy thisway. I prefer lead generating where I get people to "raisetheir hands" and say "yeah I'm interested".

This way I cannow afford to spend more to chase those prospects. And it'snot enough to just email them follow-ups. I prefer to havea whole arsenal at my fingertips if needed like directmail, voice broadcast, telephone calls, postcards, etc.

If over-delivering on value - hold your breath and add anextra zero to your price. You'll thank me for it! ;)

Do you remember the stupid beer commercial a few years backwith the tagline "Why Ask Why?" Well, completely unknown tothe ad agency -- they had almost stumbled onto abreakthrough marketing concept.

Telling people the reason why you are doing something isone of the most powerful influencers of human behavior.

Robert Cialdini, Ph.D. in his book "Influence: ThePsychology of Persuasion" talks about an experiment byHarvard social psychologist, Ellen Langer, that concludedpeople like to have a reason for what they do.

Her experiment consisted of people waiting in line to use alibrary copy machine and then having experimenters ask toget ahead in line.

The first excuse used was "Excuse me, I have five pages.May I use the Xerox machine because I'm in a rush?" Thisrequest coupled with a reason was successful 94% of thetime. However when the experimenter made a request only:"Excuse me, I have five pages. May I use the Xeroxmachine?" this request was only granted 60% of the time. Asignificant drop.
Okay now for the shocker.

It may seem like the difference between those two requestswas the additional information of "because I'm in a rush",but that's just not the case.

Because in a third experimenter, the experimenter asks"Excuse me, I have five pages. May I use the Xerox machinebecause I have to make some copies?" There's no reasonmentioned or new information presented, just the words"because".

This time a full 93% of the people said yes simply due tothe word 'BECAUSE'! And it didn't even matter that therewas no reason given. Just the word because triggered amagic response.
Using this psychological 'trigger' can massively increaseyour Marketing success.

Here's an example: John E. Powers, one of the topcopywriters in the 1900's, wrote this ad for a Pittsburghdepartment store in severe financial trouble:

"We are bankrupt. We owe $125,000 more than we can pay, andthis announcement will bring our creditors down on ournecks. But if you come and *buy* tomorrow, we shall havethe money to meet them. If not, we shall go to the wall."

Instead of yelling 'SALE' like so many other stores would,there's a legitimate reason given why people should spendtheir money at this store. And this ad was said to beresponsible for saving the store.

Another ad written by Powers, for a different merchant,proclaimed "We have a lot of rotten raincoats we want toget rid of." This sold out the entire inventory ofraincoats by the next morning.

Max Sackheim, famous for the long-running ad "Do You MakeThese Mistakes In English" and originator of the book-of-the-month concept, says this: "Whenever you make a claim orspecial offer in your advertising, come up with an honestreason why, and then state it sincerely. You'll sell manymore products this way."

And this powerful strategy works just as well today.

Using this secret weapon for a medical equipment company, Ihelped them produce a massive 1,073% return on investmentsimply using "reason-why" copy.

The premise was how can we sell a product for theincredibly low price of only $477? (Regularly this productsells for about $695 - $895.) Then the ad went on toexplain that the reason why the price was so low wasbecause the manufacturer wanted to gain market share andget nurses and doctors accustomed to using their product.It was a huge winner and a big money-maker for the client.

So how can you apply all of this to your business? Easy.Let's say you have a slow time of year and you want toincrease your business during this period. Well, write asimple letter to your customers making a special offer,only good during your slow period.

Maybe you'll throw in an extra free bonus, an extraservice, or a special discount simply because it is your"slow time" and you need to pay your staff anyway.

Let people in "behind the scenes" at your company...

* Are you overstocked on merchandise because for somereason customers only want the deluxe widget - but youordered tons of the basic one?

* Did you have a flood and you need to liquidate (pardonthe pun) your inventory?

* Do you need to raise cash so you can pay for yournosejob?

Whatever the reason. Tell them the truth.
For some reason everyone wants to be mysterious about theirbusiness. If you're lowering the price nobody thinks you'redoing it just because you're "such a nice guy". So letpeople in the reason why.

I know this probably goes against every grain of businesssense, but I promise if you give people a good, believablereason why they'll respond with open wallets.

Q. Firstly Michael, thank you for joining us today in your busy schedule.

A. Hey no problem. Good to be here.

Q. We all know that traffic is important but could you just explain a bit about traffic for the
beginners out there?

A. Sure. Traffic is the lifeblood of any business online. Without it you just die. We all know
that. But what a lot of us don't realize is that just like everything else on the Internet traffic changes very
quickly. That is, the methods of getting traffic are changing all the time and that's where people get caught
out.

Q. What do you mean by "caught out"?

A. Well people fall into the trap of thinking that just because they know one or two traffic
generation methods that they are some sort of traffic master. In reality just because you know how to start a pay
per click campaign or a little bit about search engines doesn't make you anywhere near a traffic expert. I'm trying
to spread the word that there is a massive array of traffic tactics that most people aren't even aware of, let
alone using or mastering.

Q. Can you give us some examples?

A. Sure. Offline for example. You might immediately think that getting traffic is a purely online
activity but the truth of the matter is that there are lots of things you can be doing offline to get people into
your website. And it's usually these sorts of areas that are being under-utilized and therefore there is less
competition for that traffic as well.

Q. So by offline you mean advertising offline?

A. Not necessarily. That is one method, yes, but I'm thinking of more creative ways to get people
into your website. It all comes down to the fact that having asked people on my list it came as no surprise that
most people want to know about free rather than paid traffic sources. I've had to become an expert in free ways of
getting traffic in my time online.

Q. What do you mean - I thought you were running a successful online business with lots of cash
flow?

A. I am. But it's not always been this way. When I first started out in 1995 I had nothing. No
money to play with. Just my own initiative and imagination.

Q. So are you saying you're against paying for traffic online?

A. No. No I'm not saying that at all. What I'm saying is that, especially when you first start
out, you always want to focus on the free methods. You get the traffic in for free, make some sales and then you
can reinvest some of that money into paid methods of getting traffic. This speeds up the process.

Q. So what particular offline methods are you referring to - can you give us some examples?


A. There's one tactic I used that costs nothing to implement, is relatively quick and ended up
getting me thousands and thousands of targeted visitors into my websites. When I've shared this tactic with other
marketers at seminars they've started laughing and slapping their foreheads when they saw how easy it was. They
were also embarrassed that they had failed to use this tactic. It was quite amusing.

Q. So are you going to tell us what this method is?

A. No! (laughs) It's in my course! I truly believe in rewarding those people that are most eager
to learn so instead of giving away all my traffic tactics in interviews like this I've put some of them in an E-
Book I've written. It is free though if people want to get it.
